My goal for starting Heaven on Windover was to tell you about my life. The name is misleading. It leads you to believe that my life is heaven. My pictures are of a beautiful life. Here’s the thing, I have always known that it was a house of cards. I’ve known it wasn’t heaven but I’ve created my own peace through the pain. I plan on telling you all about my journey; how I know that heaven will always be where I end up. If you wish to follow my story, please stay tuned.
…so how was your day?

Well, I’m glad you asked. I spent most of the day preparing my next step for this new blogging adventure which is very exciting. After the kids got home it was right to Camille’s hoseback riding lesson followed by Liam’s basketball practice; which he hates as there is not one screen in sight. I got home, greeted the dogs, pulled Camille’s backpack out of Scout’s, one of our new puppies, mouth only to discover an entire bottle of water spilled inside soaking the bottom through and through.
Twenty minutes later, now 8 p.m., finally a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and book in hand I am ready for my “me time.” HA! Sitting there with Romeo, one of our three cats, he begins scratching my duvet cover. Well, that will not do so I kick him out and go back to my book. Wait, why is my leg drenched? Did it get wet while cleaning the backpack? Today, I’m not so lucky, for the first time ever, Romeo peed outside a litter box, on my bed and drenched right through all the bedding, my pjs and the mattress.
YUCK you say? That doesn’t even cover it. Now, I am showering, stripping my bed, oxycleaning the s*%& out of it and moving to the couch and praying for sleep to come.
After that glass of wine of course.
So how was your day? ;P
Everything Begins Somewhere…
Thanks for joining me!
This wasn’t technically where we began but it certainly was a great day for all of us. After ten years together, my children got to watch their parents get married. These are our little ones two years ago, Vivienne (8,) Liam (6,) and Camille (5.) Can’t wait until you see how they’ve grown.
So much fun and dancing with our amazing family. You will hear more about my excessive love of my neices and nephews in future posts for sure, but for now I’d like to share a few of my favorite images from a gorgeaous July day on Lake Erie.

We sure know how to dance and laugh togehter!

The first picture below is one of my all time favorites. My four siblings, sister-in-law, eldest niece and one nephew. All my sisters and nieces, wore navy (except for our Megan, in pink) who will not be told. Haha! No formal stand up wedding but a nice way to unite us.
I will leave you with one last picture of the venue. A quaint camp site that was perfect for this loud and lively bunch. Please stop back to check out the chaos of five humas, three cats, and two puppies living through our biggest project yet.
